Job Summary:
The Strategic Real Estate Portfolio Analyst will work with multiple stakeholders from within the Corporate Real Estate organization, the Bank’s lines-of-business, and internal partner organizations to actively assist and lead the development of Strategic Real Estate Portfolio Plans and Business Initiatives. Manage existing analytical tools and create new models that measure and forecast the real estate portfolio.
The Strategic Analyst position will report directly to the functional leader Strategy, Planning & Client Relationship Management.
Major Responsibilities:
• Contributes to the creation of the real estate strategy and its implementation by providing guidance and intelligence to real estate decision makers at the operating business unit and corporate levels.
• Performs detailed analytics, which may include internal or external financial, operational and/or market data, and is able to summarize into key insights for senior leadership.
• Partners with Strategy and Client Relationship Management to develop and own business demand forecasting process to inform supply demand gaps and opportunities.
• Maintains a consistent distribution of reporting and notification to CRE senior leadership and other parts of the Bank including dashboard reports that effectively illustrate occupancy and cost analytics, headcount projections and workplace conditions.
• Develops and improves the Portfolio Plan of Record, a forward looking database of real estate decisions over long term horizon.
• Works with CRE functional teams including project management, facilities, transactions and occupancy planning teams, develops real estate strategies that optimize cost, timing and LOB need.
• Develops decision support tools and reporting driving real estate related decisions; includes internal process and controls, portfolio analyses, site/market strategy pro formas, approval documents, status updates, and documentation repositories.
• Evaluates capacity and demand requirements and develop scenarios to optimize use of space while meeting business requirements.
• Analyzes occupancy analysis reporting to effectively forecast future occupancy/vacancy ratios, headcount projections and workplace conditions.
• Develops dashboards including headcount projections, capacity, vacancy, churn information, and space allocations in facilities.
• Acts as a subject matter expert and responsible for the development, monitoring and support of Corporate Real Estate (CRE) strategies and space plans.
• Interprets business requirements and headcount forecasts in order to develop real estate solutions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience working in the field of business planning and analytics. An understanding of the Corporate Real Estate industry is preferred.
• Highly motivated and proven leader with strong team-oriented interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
• Ability to convey sense of urgency and to work productively in a matrixed environment with corporate business partners.
• Accomplished in area of Data Analysis, able to transform large disparate data sets into meaningful intelligence.
• Expert level PC skills (Access, Excel, PowerPoint) with demonstrated proficiency in developing compelling presentations.
• Experience in real-time dashboard tools (e.g. tableau) a plus.
