The Global Premium Benefits & Rewards team provides thought leadership and decision support to key leaders in Marketing and Finance in the US credit card business as well as operates as the Global Center of Excellence for Premium Benefits. This is a high visibility role with a focus on some of the most important initiatives in one of the largest segments of American Express. The team partners across functions to support the benefit strategy, and to provide insight into the competitive landscape and the Global Product strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Support center of excellence for global lounges across Blue Box
• Lead analytical and decision support to the Global Benefits team
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders in Marketing, Finance, and other functions
• Own and lead the financial analysis of initiatives such as merchant funded value decisions, product refreshes, customer treatment strategies, price and incentive testing
• Develop and maintain deep understanding of the competitive environment, and our competitive positioning
• Identify and lead analyses that support business decisions that will improve product economics and help leaders move the business forward
• Define benchmarks and lead analysis to validate and enhance future modelling
• Work cross-functionally to source benchmarks or data for key assumptions; quickly learn relevant information and incorporate into analyses
• Support planning and forecasting for enterprise-wide cost of card member services; supporting business transformation and margin enhancements
Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree Required
• Excel- advanced (comfortable with pivot tables, vlookups, charts, graphs and financial modeling)
• Presentations- must be able to create at a professional level and present to senior management
• 1-3 years direct experience with Financial background
• Solid financial, analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
• Experience in handling and synthesizing complex information
• Motivated self- starter who can operate on multiple, confidential, diverse fronts simultaneously and with careful attention to detail
• Flexibility to function in a fast-paced environment and high energy team player
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to interact at all levels of the organization
• Experience with IDN, SQL and/or SAS preferred
