Our team & your role on the team
Treasury Control & Analysis is looking for a highly motivated analyst to join our group. This is an exciting time to join Progressive as we continue bringing data and analytical insights on business problems that reach beyond our organization. As an analyst, you will be responsible for producing key Treasury metrics and further advancing our reporting and analysis by learning and leveraging new analytical tools at Progressive. You will have an opportunity to work on various projects for Cash Management, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Procurement and other areas within Treasury. The agenda will have visibility to Senior Leadership within and outside Treasury.
Must have qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or Actuarial Sciences) and two - four years of property casualty insurance experience or analytical work experience in a professional setting
• Instead of a degree, five years of property casualty insurance experience with related analytical experience (such as analytical work in a professional setting)
What we also look for
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Excellent analytical and technical abilities to solve complex business problems and translate into simple and clear language and visuals.
• Strong communications skills (written and verbal) with ability to communicate effectively with various levels and roles across both business and IT.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with knowledge of spreadsheet functionality including v-look-up, pivot tables, charts, graphing and macros.
• Demonstrated ability to extract, manipulate and analyze large datasets using a variety of Business Intelligence tools such as SQL, SAS, or Python.
• Work independently with a high degree of autonomy.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to tell a story via data.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional areas and vendors.
• Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, adapt to new situations and learn quickly.
