Job Description
Business Analyst, Production Services Group
The Production Services Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for the business analysis efforts related to the planning, development and implementation of business solutions. The BA is responsible for ensuring solutions meet the goals, objectives and requirements of the business and technology stakeholders. The BA serves as the conduit between the client/business community, project management and software development teams and is responsible for the eliciting, analyzing, specifying, validating and managing the requirements of all project stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities:
• Lead and/or assist in the elicitation, definition and documentation of business and solution requirements
• Analyze complex business processes, document processes and requirements, and suggest improvements.
• Apply industry framework principles in the design and improvement of processes that will work effectively within the Comerica organization and culture.
• Demonstrate organizational leadership by effecting outcomes across a wide variety of individuals with disparate priorities.
• Navigate within and across departments effectively, while spanning all levels of employees from staff to Senior Vice Presidents.
• Develop action plans and project plans for small to large sized initiatives.
• Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary
• Demonstrate comfort around senior management along with presentation skills to periodically speak in leadership meetings regarding key topics of interest.
• Keep up to date on topics of expertise. Keep management informed of industry trend and shifts.
• Be capable to communicate recommendations based on industry best practices.
Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties
• Ability to motivate others and lead change
• Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within project timeframes
• Passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change
• Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
• Good understanding of information technology
• Practical application ability with Microsoft Office and Visio
• Strong experience in user testing and project management
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 7 years of business experience
• 5 years of experience with eliciting, analyzing and managing requirements
• 5 years of business process analysis and facilitation experience
• 5 years of experience with project coordination
• 5 years of experience working on and leading small to large size projects
• 3 years of experience using reporting tools and writing SQL queries
