Description
Leadership Effectiveness
• Will have direct oversight and management accountability for 5-6 claim teams
• Will assist Regional Vice President in creating and communicating a clear vision to the staff of the Field Claim Operation that motivates them to drive for results and ensures alignment with the Consumer and Commercial Markets business vision, strategy and goals
Operational Excellence
• Will monitor and analyze key operational performance indicators and, working with members of Claim Actuarial, Claim Finance, and Claims Compliance, determine appropriate interventions to variances
• Will complete special projects and assignments as delegated by the Regional Vice President
• Will manage all aspects of regulatory compliance to include ownership of monthly regulatory reviews, preparation for audits and development of action plans as necessary
Project Management
• Will represent Field Claim Operations in other projects as needed
• Will play the key role in ensuring the objective and key deliverables of the projects position Field Claim Operations to achieve continuous improvement
Technology and Practices Liaison
• Will drive technology processes within the Field Claims Center
• Working with staff across the enterprise, will serve as a voice for Field Claim Operations and ensure electronic reporting functionality meets the needs of the business in terms of accuracy and timeliness
• Working with members of Claim Practices and CI or Source leaders, will provide input into the develop, build, test and implementation phases of CI or Source enhancements that lead to efficiency gains for the Field Claim Operations staff as well as improved regulatory compliance results
Field Claim Council Representation
• Will actively participate in and represent Field Claim Operations in the councils created to support the Commercial Markets key tenets
Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years of claims leadership experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
Strong business acumen, analytical and decision making skills a must
Must be a change agent and provide influence and possess a high level of integrity
Must possess strong communication skills
This is a developmental position, intended to prepare individuals for key leadership positions
Positon can be filled as a Manager or Director depending on level of experience.
