Barclays Capital Inc. seeks a Vice President, Leveraged Finance for its New York, New York location.
Duties:
Barclays Capital Inc. requires a Vice President, Leveraged Finance in its New York, NY office to provide clients with strategic advice relating to funding and acquisition financing for high yield companies. Lead the execution of deals and proposals, drive financing processes forward, and coordinate activities of all junior team members, other internal teams, clients, external counsel, and accountants. Manage client relationships in day-to-day coverage providing investment banking advisory services, preparing client presentations, and delivering regular product information. Prepare and present investment banking advisory materials used in client meetings covering topics including strategic and financing alternatives, leveraged finance markets, and corporate finance. Lead the creation of new business presentations including financial analysis/modelling, industry research, internal memoranda, preparation of offering memoranda and other written materials, and negotiation of legal documentation. Perform due diligence throughout transaction execution process, and prepare materials and analyses for internal approval process. Supervise junior team members through delegating work, overseeing work product, and providing guidance and feedback.
Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, and two (2) years of experience as a Financial Analyst/Associate in the investment banking industry. Alternatively will accept Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in specified fields and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in positions specified above. Demonstrated experience must include: Analyzing industry and sector trends, macroeconomic trends and corporate, strategic, and financial developments in leveraged finance markets; Performing credit analysis, financial statement analysis and modeling, and financial forecasting; Performing due diligence in corporate finance transactions and preparing materials and analyses for both internal and external purposes; Providing advisory services and preparing client presentations and pitch materials; Preparing strategic advisory and transaction-related materials advising clients on leveraged finance markets; Managing the production of presentations for rating agencies and marketing materials for investors ahead of transaction launch and then coordinating responses to investor questions during syndication; Leading the negotiation of deal associated legal documentation including commitment papers, credit agreements, bond offering memoranda and indentures; Managing analysts on multiple deals/projects through the deal execution lifecycle; Taking lead responsibility on deal execution to coordinate all involved parties in order to ensure milestones are met and the deal progresses successfully.
Must have licensure in FINRA Series 79 and Series 63.
