Global Client Services (GCS) is part of Investment Operations and partners with Distribution to support the sales process and to service client relationships. Operating from locations in North America, Europe and Asia, GCS consists of several functions including RFI/RFP, Client Service, Client Reporting, Product Implementation and Project Management.
Residing in Investment Operations, the Global Client Service Senior Manager is part of a global team consists of several functions including client service and on-boarding, client reporting, product implementation, and RFI/RFP.
As a Global Client Service Senior Manager based in Los Angeles, you will lead the global client reporting team primarily focused on Capital’s global institutional business and clients. You will have direct leadership responsibility for client reporting and data management functions. You will partner with Distribution, Capital’s sales and marketing organization, to support service and reporting initiatives. In this key leadership role, you will contribute to the development of strategic business plans, and will participate in a variety of project initiatives. You will work closely with internal teams across Investment Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT, and Legal.
Responsibilities:
• Defines strategic direction, leads and manages Global Client Service functions and initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement and future business needs.
◦ Participates in decision-making at a global and cross-functional capacity.
◦ Collaborates with other senior manager to develop strategic goals and objectives, prioritize efforts and coordinate communication and execution.
◦ Ensures the highest level of service efficiently delivered.
◦ Ensures appropriate staffing in order to complete department responsibilities.
◦ Keeps abreast of internal and external trends and determines how the impact of those adjustments will affect business operations. Develops, recommends and manages processes, procedures and practices within assigned function(s).
• Cultivates and manages relationships with internal and external parties.
◦ Ensures timely delivery of high quality data and client reports to appropriate recipients.
◦ Proactively engages with Distribution partners to recommend enhancements to data positioning.
◦ Anticipates changes in customer data needs and enable team to make necessary changes.
◦ Establishes value proposition of Investment Information Services team as partners with critical input to the sales process.
◦ Ensures effective service to Sales staff.
• Represent the Client Reporting function in the business planning process by contributing to the identification and execution of priority initiatives.
◦ Stay abreast of internal and external trends to inform the ongoing evolution of client reporting, and be a change agent to drive innovative ideas for improving reporting.
◦ Evolve the client reporting model over time to bring increased value to the service delivery and to adjust changes in business strategy.
• Manage department operations through department and functional team budget and resource planning, as well as, achieving the right balance of service, quality, and cost.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years experience in a management capacity in a large, complex, global organization; financial services or investment management industry experience strongly preferred.
• An undergraduate degree require.
• Demonstrates expert knowledge of financial services industry, institutional sales cycle and industry servicing requirements.
• Demonstrates an expert knowledge of investment strategies and general portfolio statistics; ability to analyze complex data and information.
• Demonstrates ability to lead and manage projects within a team.
• Demonstrates and applies an expert knowledge of Capital’s funds, mandates, investment process and various internal groups.
• Exhibits knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the department/business area.
