Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President, Application Security Architect in New York, New York
Help internal customers implement secure solutions. Perform security assessments on a wide range of internally developed applications and vendor systems hosted within the Firm to identify technical control gaps and define security requirements to remediate identified risks. Provide architectural and implementation guidance to ensure developers follow security best practices. Communicate to the IT owners details of technical control gaps and provide attack scenarios relevant to the risks identified. May function as a single contributor, a member in a virtual team, or a leader in an area of expertise in working with peer technology teams, business unit, other stakeholders such as legal and compliance, and vendors.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or closely related field of study and seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or seven (7) years of experience as an Associate, Vice President, or related occupation in the IT cyber security space. Requires five (5) years of experience in an architecture or engineering role in IT security or cyber security. Requires two (2) years of experience with: conducting information and technology security assessments of system designs; conducting threat model analysis of a solution; authoring security design document; presenting and explaining outcomes of assessments; negotiating risk level and actions with stakeholders; technical/cyber security regulations in relevant jurisdictions; reviewing identity and access management architectural design including segregation of duties, identity federation, identity proofing, and authentication technologies; data protection concepts including encryption, cryptography, and data leakage prevention; serving as a lead developer or development manager on complex enterprise applications; working with teams across at least two (2) countries in a multinational financial institution; Java; JavaScript; C#; C/C++; Perl; Python; HTML5; MQ; HTTPS; SOAP; REST; Agile, Scrum, and DevOps development practices; and database design/data warehousing including DB2, Sybase, MS SQL, and Informatica.
