What You Will Do:
This is a highly visible role as part of the IFRS financial reporting team with Transamerica supporting our Accumulation and Retirement product lines. You will be our liaison supporting the relationship with our third party administrator and our internal finance teams to efficiently complete reporting deliverables. You will help the teams collaborate and effectively complete the financial reporting processes, assist in issue resolution, and help implement changes to gain efficiencies in the close process.
What You Will Learn: In this role, you will gain exposure to Transamerica’s IFRS reporting team, while interacting with multi-functional groups within Finance. You will also have the ability to support different projects related to IFRS reporting.
What Success Looks Like:
• Lead projects across the Financial Analysis group as assigned.
• Review and interpret data for the purpose of determining past performance to identify areas for improvement; shares information with others and aids in planning of next steps for issue resolution.
• Assist department leadership team in implementing new policies and procedures.
• Ensures that financial reporting process documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Share high-level knowledge with others in order to promote further development of the financial reporting teams.
• Provide a higher level of financial analysis understanding to aid in solving problems in unique ways.
• Recommend and lead implementation of changes to processes to achieve efficiencies through the use of technology.
• Work with other departments to ensure business issues are resolved.
What You Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Eight years of experience, with degree.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting/finance.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Prefer understanding of investments, insurance products.
