The Product Owner for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) & Automation is accountable for the product’s strategy by maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure the team is working on user stories that maximize business value and deliver features and fixes to all customers. This critical role ensures that the product is developed and maintained using sound business and technology practices while supporting business transformation through the enablement of new capabilities.
Major Areas of Accountability
A. Consults with product stakeholders, as the key point of contact, to assess, prioritize and anticipate current and future product needs.
B. Develops a product strategy and roadmap through analysis of personas, use cases, customer benefits, and solution value propositions.
C. Ensures stories clearly communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product.
D. Maintains and refines product backlog: Creates user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritizes all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy.
E. Works with other product teams/owners to align product roadmaps and to focus on delivering the maximum business value to the organization.
F. Works in a scrum team, ensuring the teams are aligned around similar goals and objectives and attending all scrum meetings.
G. Develops and tracks key value drivers that measure effectiveness of product discovery and overall product performance.
H. Fosters a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles.
I. Inspires others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization’s direction (Product/Agile/DevOps))
Education
• Bachelors’ Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science, Business, Communications or a related field or equivalent experience
Work Experience/Skills:
Required:
• At least seven years of professional experience in IT service delivery, with at least five years of experience working directly with senior business leaders.
• Strong business acumen; understands the key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and an organization’s revenue goals.
• Strong knowledge in Strategy Development, Business Opportunity Development, Reporting and Analysis, Service Engineering and Architecture, Technology Road-mapping.
• Working knowledge in Design Thinking, APIs and Integration, Agile Methodologies, Robotics Process Automation, Enterprise Content Management
Preferred:
• Exposure to business processes through experience working outside Corporate IT (e.g., in Consulting, Sales, Marketing, R&D)
• Experience in product management and enterprise architecture
• Hyland OnBase, Kofax, Robotics Process Automation experience
• Scrum certification such as PSPO, PSM, CSM, CSPO, or CSP a plus
• Experience working in a regulated industry
