What you will be responsible for:
Lead and achieve strategic business development objectives to build and maintain a high-value portfolio of large, diversified commercial clients, with average loan and deposit values greater than $10MM, in a specified geographic market. Work closely with product partners to develop the right products to tap market opportunities. Manage risk-reward parameters within acceptable levels towards achieving optimal business performance. Be recognized as the “face of CWB” in the local market delivering full-service banking and financial solutions for clients through effective and authentic partnerships with the branch manager and supporting account specialist team.

Client focused: Deliver exceptional client experiences at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously build the client experience, in line with CWB’s brand promise. Provide full-service solutions for clients with the view to be every client’s primary financial partner.
Sales driven: Execute an independent marketing plan to achieve targeted business growth mix, with a focus on larger mid-market commercial clients ($10MM+ loan and deposit volume) inclusive of independent sales activities:
• Targeted outbound call program
• Referral generating program
• Business community and industry networking
• Developing self-generated leads
• Regimented follow-up calendar
Relationship oriented: Develop and execute a relationship strategy for each client, identifying the key issues surrounding the relationship and implement a strategy to facilitate the expansion of our partnership with the business.
Knowledgeable: Maintain expert knowledge of clients and prospects, market, competition and economic factors, in conjunction with robust understanding of key business issues and trends.
Expert negotiator: Optimize business and client relationships while practicing proactive risk management in a highly competitive environment – a win/win determination.
Adaptable: Identify and respond to changes in the business environment, establishing action plans to address customer issues and priorities.
Trusted partner: Be highly visible as the face of CWB, in conjunction with the branch manager, with larger businesses and related professionals in the market, and be well-known as a trusted business advisor who is sought after for financial guidance.
Team Player: Live the CWB cultural values of integrity, accountability, respect, common sense and caring every day.
What you’ve accomplished:
Education
• Undergraduate degree in commerce, finance or accounting disciplines
Professional experience
• 8+ years of commercial lending and sales or related work experience
• Developed and implemented effective sales strategies and plans
