Position Overview
The Executive Director of Business Transformation GARe will lead and manages the department in the management of process development and administration system enhancements to support global administration systems. Leads a BTT management team using prudent methodologies to serve in and sustain roles as change and learning champions and continuous improvement sponsors. Leads the Operations Help Desk function in supporting admin system user needs globally. Ensures department alignment and coordination with all other areas of the company to achieve corporate business strategies and vision. Serves as a member of the GSS-AO Business Transformation leadership team, including establishing strategic and tactical plans, preliminary budgets, objectives, goals and processes to protect and assure RGAs long-term success.
Responsibilities
• Directs and supports the department that is responsible for facilitating the review and assessment of Operations business processes and assures the effective implementation of process and system improvements. Supports the portfolio of administration systems through a partnership with IT to enhance, life cycle manage, and promote environmental stability.
• Directs and supports the department that is responsible for documenting business requirements to facilitate enhancements and resolve production issues on behalf of the business for a portfolio of global administration systems.
• Advocates sound process development and project management methodologies, works with all departments to prioritize, provide oversight and implement process/system changes. Leads the department that works with IT to ensure business/IT resource considerations are included in project timelines and plans.
• Leads the department that works with all in the Operations divisions and departments throughout RGA to identify and resolve process problems/issues. Develops relationships with internal resources and seeks resolutions to ensure satisfaction. Oversees the group that develops, recommends and implements process improvements.
• Works with Operations Management to prioritize projects on the basis of costs versus benefits.
• Leads and manages the activities of department management in all aspects of supervisory duties, including but not limited to hiring, training, evaluation, coaching, and disciplining direct reports. Foster a positive and engaged work environment. Mentors associates and give guidance on associate development.
• Collaborates with all departments in the Operations division and departments throughout RGA to identify and resolve problems/issues. Develops relationships with client companies and seeks resolutions to ensure timely, accurate reporting while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
• Participates and collaborates with other members of the GSS-AO Business Transformation leadership team to develop goals/plans/budgets that align with division and company objectives and then manages to those expectations.
• Manages department within budget guidelines.
• Manages completion of special projects as they arise and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience
• 10+ years experience in insurance/reinsurance
• 5+ years of management experience
Preferred:
• Progress toward MBA, FLMI, ALHC, ARA, or other relevant professional accreditation
• 3+ years Reinsurance industry knowledge
Skills and Abilities

• Competent ability to comprehend and interpret insurance and contract documents
