Manager Store Design Travel Retail Worldwide
Description
The Manager is responsible for creating designs to support overall brand strategy, storytelling and the execution of innovative store design projects from inception to completion. This role is responsible for maintaining the style and standards throughout global markets and collaboratively manage strategies enhancing brand image. Collaboration with the VM and Store Design teams is a must in order to initiate creative and innovative design solutions. Ensures all projects meet required timelines and enforcement of procedures and adherence to budget guidelines.
Design:
• Propose and develop new design initiatives in line with Brand Global vision
• Creates designs to support overall brand strategy and storytelling with minimal guidance
• Ensures adherence to brand guidelines in own work with minimal guidance
• Coordinate with Regional and NY based Visual Merchandising, Creative, Marketing and Sales to develop cohesive brand design identity
• Work closely with VP in ensuring Global Brand vision is upheld at consistent level of excellence while addressing regional parameters and concerns. Responsible for new design development.
• Responsible for Design development drawings and review of detail drawings
Retail Experience:
• Oversee all Retail formats in TR Regions (including Airports, Cruise Ships, Downtown Doors and Corporate Shops)
• Design across various consumer touchpoints (ability to design for specialty-multi, open sell)
• Collaborate with other creative departments as needed
• Apply knowledge of competitive landscape and trends
Digital in-store:
• Identify applications of new digital technologies (e.g. screens, ipads, interactive devices) to enhance in-store experience
• Propose ways new technologies could be implemented in-store
Qualifications
• B.Arch or M.Arch required
• 5+ years of architectural design and construction experience
• At least 3 years of project management experience
• Ability to detail fixtures in realistic and executable fashion
• Knowledge of materials and methods of fabrication and installation of fixtures and construction
• Vector works proficient
