Organizational Structure:
The Costing Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Production – Men’s/Women’s.
Responsibilities
• Create & update cost sheets
• Working knowledge of garment construction
• Maintain and build cost libraries by division, season and category
• Prepare final cost books to hand over to merchandising and production for each season
• Coordinate with Director and PD to analyze costs from proto to sales sample stage
• Assist with costing & production projects as needed
• Duties & responsibilities will change as candidate grows in their role and as work load dictates based on market calendar
Qualifications
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in costing
• Knowledge of garment construction & raw materials
• Proficient in excel, ability to create & maintain multiple spreadsheets & cost sheets
• Must be analytical and have good judgment & decision making skills
• Ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency
• Must be detail oriented, extremely resourceful, have excellent follow up skills; learning and using all appropriate contacts to gather information & drive solutions
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (to include good listening & negotiation skills, must have the ability to present at leadership level)
• Must be flexible and have the ability to function in a fast paced environment, with competing priorities and deadlines
Compensation
