Marketing Manager
Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development of marketing communications in order to generate growth in the HomeGoods business by building brand familiarity, driving customers into HomeGoods stores and increasing the brand’s market share. She/he works closely with key partners at HomeGoods (including Senior Leadership), along with a cross-functional group of internal marketers and external partners to ensure that all initiatives align with business objectives and support the brand’s overall communications strategy.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
• Demonstrates strategic thought leadership and a passion for marketing, the home retail category and innovation.
• Drives brand stewardship in the retail space, considering changing category, consumer and media landscape.
• Serves as vital member of the integrated marketing team that together, drives marketing objectives across paid, earned and owned channels, ensuring the channels work in harmony to maximize impact in the marketplace and leverage efficiencies.
◦ Leads content strategy and development across channels with expertise across digital platforms and influencer landscape.
◦ Evaluates integrated marketing plans and strategically evaluates and optimizes opportunities.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills resulting in effective collaboration with internal departments including Buying/Planning, Media, Consumer Insights, Public Relations, etc. as well as external agency partners.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the business and can translate merchandise vision into compelling creative through briefing, concepting and execution phase (with photoshoot oversight).
• Responsible for planning, maintaining and reporting on budgets associated with defined areas of responsibility; suggests opportunities to control costs.
• Develops talent and mentors talent on the HomeGoods marketing team, specifically overseeing the Marketing Supervisor.
• Drives all projects by prioritizing and planning to successfully meet deadlines, demonstrating initiative, anticipating and developing solutions to problems and utilizing sound and logical judgement when making decisions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• 7-10 years of Marketing experience
• 4+ years of directly related experience with internal and/or external agencies
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Interest in home fashion/fashion trends, pop culture, media news and digitally savvy
• Demonstrated success collaborating, partnering and influencing at all levels and across all functions of an organization
• Skilled user of Microsoft Office programs, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Social Media
