Overview

GIII also has licenses with the four major professional sports leagues, as well as over 100 U.S. colleges and universities. In addition, G-III currently designs, manufactures and markets an extensive range of apparel, including outerwear, dresses, sportswear, beachwear, women's suits and women's performance wear, as well as luggage and women's handbags, small leather goods and various accessories.
GIII Apparel Group is currently seeking an Production/Product Development Assistant to join it's Calvin Klein and Karl Lagerfeld Handbagteams based in New York City!
Responsibilities
• Reviews and comments on all confirmation samples for both KL & CK – sets reviews
with design based on delivery timeline.
• Reviews all PP (Pre-Production) and TOP (Top of Production) samples and sends clear
and meaningful comments
• Executes any style revisions after point of Turn in
• Assists Manager in keeping style library and fill library up to date
• Makes sure all comments are sent based on priority/delivery timeline to ensure no
deliveries are delayed.
• Updates style tech packs with finalized details
• Keep an organized PP & TOP library at all times with constant refresh
• Daily correspondence with overseas factories
• Tracks all samples, track/maintain WIP styles outstanding for season
• Sends out reference samples for countering versions with multiple factory partners
• Update BOMs to reflect any approved changes per production/design team
Qualifications
• Adobe Creative Suite (specializing in Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Intermediate to Advanced Skills in Microsoft Word (specializing in Excel)
• Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Product Development or degree equivalent
• Past experience in handbags or small leather goods a big plus!
