Overview
This VP, GMM is responsible for leading and managing the North American women’s strategy (including product objectives, banner differentiation/segmentation, vendor partnership planning, experience needs and new business development) to ensure maximum sales, profits and margin. This executive is a member of the North American leadership team reporting to the VP, Chief Product Strategist. There is a total team of 10 (direct & indirect) in addition to 4 dotted line reports across our family of brands.

Responsibilities
• Grow our NA business by creating and implementing women’s strategies to meet our financial objectives.
• Define and create the optimal banner positioning and segmentation strategies to pick up market share.
• Build long term strategic plans with our vendor partners and mobilize resources and investment against key concepts, categories and product lines to ensure growth potential for our divisions.
• Lead new business development plans against new partners and new categories to increase our revenue streams.
• Work with the NA GM’s to define, create and implement experience plans to strengthen our female consumer connections.
• Partner with corporate development to define marketplace potential and build investment, acquisition and/or new business development plans to deliver incremental revenue
• Act as lead business consultant for Carbon 38
• Innovate, drive best practice and create the blue print for the expanded future GMM role to create a function that supports the company’s broader goals of growth and high standards of customer experience.
• Develop future merchant leaders across the business to achieve their divisional financial and strategic goals.
• Define NA divisional structure and capability needs to maximize our current women‘s business and build new growth opportunities for the future.
• Work with banner teams to turn strategies into actions.
• Ensure short-term business opportunities are capitalized on.
• Ensure adequate levels of testing and new business development.
• Keep abreast of industry best practices and monitor financial performance against corporate objectives and address improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
• Minimum 15+ years total experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in a senior leadership roles within the Retail industry.
• Strong customer focus experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment collaborating with internal and external partners.
• Ability to work in an ambiguous, agile and fast paced environment.
