Director, International Tax

This position is responsible for oversight and management of all U.S. tax matters related to non-US entities including:
Leading global tax strategies and planning initiatives to enhance Kontoor’s tax platform while ensuring compliance with global standards;
Managing and negotiation of tax rulings, tax holidays, tax audits, and tax controversies;
Planning and overseeing the strategic tax aspects of company’s legal entity tax structure;
Extensive support to all aspects of the business in international tax matters and planning;
Assisting with tax compliance and reporting related to international tax matters including foreign tax credit, E&P, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, transfer pricing and related modeling;
Developing members of the tax group in technical aspects as well as management and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining the complex tax structure includes defending any challenges issued by the IRS as well as foreign governments
Assist with acquisition planning and integration, ensuring the structure is aligned with the management and operations of the business
Management of all aspects of US tax compliance of foreign entities including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits, and transfer pricing
Establish extensive relationships across all function and business leaders to seize opportunities and address tax planning opportunities/issues
Establish control-related standards and procedures for US International tax matters
Lead and develop junior members of the tax team
Work with treasury on capitalization, inter-company financing and repatriation
Assist with US and foreign compliance for the foreign subsidiaries
International portion of IRS audit
Skills:
Strong people leader and positive approach
Extensive large-scale project management
Experience in dealing with highly sophisticated and complex worldwide international tax structures
Foreign subsidiary local country audits experience
MBA or an advanced degree in tax accounting or equivalent work and education required
The ability to work with all levels, and influence across the organization
Requirements
Years of Related Professional Experience: 9+ Years
9+ years’ experience in International Tax with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
