URBN: Digital Marketing Assistant
Overview
The Digital Marketing Assistant will work with all faucets of the brand’s contact marketing strategy including email, app and site marketing campaigns. This role will work with the Digital Marketing team to support execution & reporting of outbound campaigns and personalization tactics. The Digital Marketing Assistant will be the point of contact for in-store event digital marketing and will be responsible for planning, set-up, deployment and recapping performance of event marketing. This role will also be responsible for competitive analysis reports and other projects as needed.
Teamwork, schedule management and timely and effective communication with merchandising, copy, development, IT, creative, production staff, and platform account team as well as attention to detail are critical aspects of this position’s responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Own in-store event marketing campaign execution through planning, set-up, deployment and reporting.
• Support Digital Marketing Coordinator in marketing outbound campaign set-up & execution including emails, push notifications & in-app notifications.
• Pulls data weekly & monthly for all marketing campaign reports (email, triggers, app, site).
• Set-up and format bi-weekly recaps and monthly hindsights to share out with creative & merchant teams.
• Stay on top of digital marketing trends to keep the brand at the forefront; Identify and propose new opportunities appropriate for the brand.
• Responsible for competitive analysis reports and research projects as needed. Maintain archive of all email creative & heatmaps.
• Assist in analyzing email results and reporting back to channel Business Owners, Merchants, and Creative group for ad-hoc requests & recaps.
Qualifications
• Bachelors (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or equivalent
• Internship or one-year work experience within digital marketing/ecommerce related industry
• Strong organizational, time-management and project management skills
• Interest in working with marketing data and growing analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance capabilities
• Team-player with excellent relationship-building skills
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must
• Prior experience with Cheetahmail, Responsys, ExactTarget, or similar ESP is a plus
• Knowledge of HTML is a plus
• Experience with Coremetrics, Omniture, or Google Analytics is a plus
• An understanding of the URBN customer and brand identity
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
