Trade Marketing Specialist (Oakley)

GENERAL FUNCTION The Marketing Specialist aides in the development and execution of account specific trade marketing plans. The Specialist works in conjunction with the Trade Marketing Manager to develop and execute in-store events and programs designed to drive business by account; including sales contests, holiday promotions, seasonal events, etc. Ensures Luxottica brands are strategically positioned and presented in a brand enhancing way to achieve defined business objectives established by the Marketing Department and are consistent with Luxottica’s goals, guidelines and objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures availability of appropriate trade materials, displays and other marketing materials for the field sales team including brand distribution and allocation of pop material.
• Tracks the status of window projects with vendors.
• Tracks the ROI of marketing projects including towers, windows, build outs.
• Maintains budgets.
• Ensures most current items are on the IPAD, adding and removing based upon availability – adds photos as needed.
• Assists the field with requests for trade marketing materials, addresses logistics issues, and supports miscellaneous requests.
• Maintains a professional relationship and line of communication with all business contacts, sales force and customers.
• Manages trade marketing materials inventory.
• Provides administrative support, as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS in Marketing, Business or Sales
• 1+ year(s) of previous marketing experience
• Basic knowledge of marketing principles and practices
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• High level of computer literacy: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP
• Ability to prioritize and handle additional responsibilities as required and assigned
• Basic understanding of budgeting, cost estimating and fiscal management principles and procedures
• Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with a high attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Ability to travel domestically (minimum of one retail visit every quarter)
