Role Description
Support the V.P. of Denim/Men’s and Senior Design Director of Women’s as they provide direction and drive the creative process in wash development. Support the development process for core and seasonal washes including but not limited to garment dye and wash processes on PFD fabrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for overseeing and controlling consistency and integrity to all final wash submits.
• Responsible for daily communication with GIS teams.
• Tag, name and photograph all seasonal targets. Handoff wash assortment to allocated vendors. All sample targets, inspirational tears, and any techniques or examples of desired wash.
• Responsible for meeting all sample, hand-off and T.O.P. deadlines.
• Collaborate with Product Development partners to check in and maintain seasonal assortment for all in-house meetings QPR, line reviews.
• Receive and archive and maintain seasonal wash library. Collect and archive all wash formula’s received from GIS/Vendors. Responsible to getting all costs.
• Update and maintain wash chart.
• Request and maintain fabric and wash development chart for rigid/panel requests.
• Review price/value/AUC targets for all basic programs and align with production and GIS offices.
• Address all wash issues which are raised at all stages from concept to product delivery.
• In partnership with Design leads- review and standardize and approve lap dip colors.
• Collaborate with Product development to support re-develop of wash formulas with vendors for cost/margin balance when necessary. Handle all re-submits provided by vendors. Review and make comments.
• Ensure that all wash development is consistent from initial wash development through production.
• Create and manage wash line sheet and WIP report for all wash development.
Qualifications:
• In collaboration with product development track ETA on all samples for development trips and QPR meetings.
• General understanding of fabric construction, finishes, wet and dry processes wash execution.
• Good design and color sense. Understand wash directions and trends.
• Ability to think three-dimensionally and to visualize from target wash inspiration, swatch, leg panel to actual wash execution.
• Good organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Good team player.
• Computer knowledge Excel, photo shop.
• College Degree preferable.
• Entry level to 2-3 years experience related.
