Design and execute marketing content that meets strategic, business and branding objectives for Vera Bradley’s digital properties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

• Support the Senior Designers in producing digital marketing material for Vera Bradley and its third-party partners, in order to attract new shoppers and retain loyal consumers
• Produce a wide range of digital marketing material for Vera Bradley’s digital properties, with a focus on our e-commerce website, but also including email marketing, third-party advertising networks, social media and blog
• Follow conceptualized designs and assist in development of fresh visual direction that continually evolves the customer’s user experience
• Collaborate with internal team of designers, marketing managers, copywriters and photographers to achieve milestones on time, and to ensure all communications are consistent with the Vera Bradley brand
• Present concepts that help communicate complex marketing messages
• Proactively benchmark other eCommerce and content-rich brand websites, both inside and outside of Vera Bradley’s competitive set, to stay abreast of current trends and best practices
• Protect the Vera Bradley brand image, integrity and consistency wherever and however it appears internally, publicly and electronically, maintaining a defined set of graphic standards
• Design digital experiences – concept, wireframe, prototype, design, and spec.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• BFA with an emphasis on graphic design, digital design, interactive media or equivalent.
• 2+ years digital design experience, preferably from a retail background
• 2+ years digital design and familiarity with HTML/CSS development, preferably from a retail background
• Expert skills in Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Must have an excellent eye for design and typography
• Attentive to small details and meticulous in execution
• Strong appreciation for digital design, branding, customer experience, user interface, information architecture, typography and color
• Solid understanding of web standards and best practices
• Ability to read and understand HTML and CSS.
• Ability to design cross-browser, cross-platform digital layouts and Photoshop concepts
• Technically proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
• Knowledge of optimizing graphics for various digital displays, including retina screens
• Detail and multi-task oriented
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload
• Ability to quickly react to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with marketing managers, art directors, creative directors and copywriters in a very collaborative, fun environment
• Online portfolio with work samples that reflect the experience and qualifications required
