Director Global Marketing, Face Makeup, Clinique
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES:
• Assist the Executive Director in defining strategic objectives that align to category and brand goals
• Develop and foster a strong Face innovation pipeline and resupport programs; consistently deliver successful products and programs on time and in-line with financial objectives
• Drive brand growth and evolution through consumer-centric Face innovations and activations that engage the target Clinique consumer
• Manage, train and develop direct reports
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Manages New Launch and 360 process for all programs; including project management required to initiate and move programs forward
• Leverages consumer insights, trends, cross functional team knowledge, and regional insights to inspire innovative new launches and re-support programs
• Partners very closely with cross functional teams (Product Development, Packaging, Design, Supply Chain, GSR, Creative) and spearheads launch/program development to ensure objectives are fulfilled when brought to market
• Works closely with Consumer Marketing and Creative teams to ensure successful 360 activation of programs
• Delivers accurate and timely briefs, project plans, and other marketing materials; provides detections to direct reports; shared documents with regions / markets and internal teams
• Liaises regularly with regional/affiliate Marketing teams to ensure programs meet local market needs
• Keeps ED abreast of category performance, product opportunities
• Monitors Clinique and competition; Stays abreast of new product launches, trends; identifies product gaps / white space opportunities; Ability to connect dots and identify actionable insights is a must
• Expert for Clinique and competitive Face category performance (shipments, sell-thru, cost of goods, SKU count, pricing, new product forecasts, support plans, etc.)
• Prepares Marketing presentations and business cases for Sales Meetings, Regional Roundtables, Retailer meetings, Sr. Management Meetings, Business Reviews, etc.
• Leads Line Edit process for Face category
• Responsible for the performance of direct reports including timely feedback and coaching, on-time and accurate delivery of projects, and career growth
KEY ELEMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
• 8 years related experience. MBA a plus
• Should have a passion for beauty and understand Clinique’s philosophy and unique point of difference for consumers
• Demonstrates ownership of programs; embracing both big picture and detail-oriented execution
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication; be a balance of analytical and creative
• Must possess proactive strategic and critical thinking skills and the ability to take initiative, anticipate next steps and offer recommendations
• Should be a self-starter, agile, driven, accountable, and highly organized with the ability to deliver multiple projects at one time.
• Must be an excellent team player; possessing the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships horizontally and vertically, and gain respect of the cross-functional and affiliate teams
