We are actively looking for a Project Manager to join our Pittsburgh team!
What you'll do...
• Drive the core Agile process routines, acting as a team Scrum Master;
• Forecast approximate launch dates for all products and communicate changes as they arise;
• Recognize and call attention to any risks that threaten the team's ability to deliver on projected launch dates;
• Deftly maintain project management tools so they provide accurate information on project status, team velocity, and projected work;
• Provide visibility into your team's current and future work, including the impact of changes and trade-offs;
• Mediate all open issues within your team and put them on the fast track to resolution;
• Be a die-hard advocate for open communication and contribute to process improvement;
• Gather and disseminate organizational metrics to stakeholders at various levels;
• Pull together ad-hoc teams to deal with urgent issues;
• Coordinate and plan software releases;
• Work with Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, Creative, and Merchandising, to conquer cross-functional business goals.
You have...
• 4+ years of recent project management experience
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field will be strongly preferred, however we will consider equivalent experience
• Experience leading an Agile development team and knowledge of at least one popular Agile methodology (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)·
• A+ project management skills and an unwavering belief in servant leadership·
• Top-notch written and oral communication skills·
• Ability to seamlessly facilitate meetings and feedback sessions, and lead healthy conflict conversation to a resolution
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive towards the successful completion of complex technical projects
• Talent for rigorously maintaining a backlog and release plan
• Expert with all phases of the software development life-cycle, expected timelines, and deliverables for all members of the team (engineering, QA, PM, user research & design)
• No stranger to the vocabulary of technology, and have the ability to easily interface with tech teams
• Knack for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to drive towards decisions despite many decision makers
• Ability to identify dependencies across product teams and foster collaboration
• Impeccable attention to detail and organization
• Expert at juggling incoming requests and needs from multiple teams without letting anything “slip through the cracks”
• Talent for recognizing when things are off-track and ‘sounding the alarm’
Nice to have...
• Certified Scrum Master designation
• Work experience in e-retail industry
• Background in working with distributed teams
• Familiarity with all sides of an eCommerce website, including operations and back-end systems
• Experience working with Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence project teams
