Manager, US Retail Marketing, Bumble and bumble.
Position Summary: Drive sales and market share growth of Bb. in North America through planning and successful execution of brand marketing programs, new product launches and re-promotes. This position will work cross-functionally with Sales and Global Marketing as well as other areas to ensure programs are tailored, optimized and executed to effectively drive our retailer and core Salon channel. Light travel required.
Responsibilities:
Strategy / Planning:
•Topline Strategy: Collaborate with Marketing Executive Director and cross functional teams to plan and calendarize NOAM launches, promotionality, sales and marketing support by channel (salon and retailer) ensuring to anniversary month over month sales
oNOAM year over year calendar
oRetailer & Network Salon side by side calendars
•Pricing Strategy: work with global team to develop pricing recommendations for new product launches in Canada
•Promotional Strategy: lead research and development of promotional strategy by retailer working closely with sales and retailer.com teams
•Sampling Strategy: drive sampling strategy (new vs core) and execution by channel
Marketing Program Development:
•Create and implement marketing strategy unique to each retailer to drive business
•Develop and maintain an understanding of the professional salon distribution channel and create programs to drive the business
oChampion the Bb. Network Salons and strive to ensure marketing programs serve to connect, engage and inspire Owners/Managers, Stylists and clients
•Analyze SKU productivity and help develop strategy for SKU rationalization to drive merchandising recommendation
•Prepare launch/program set-up documentation for Sales Ops and partner to ensure timely launch and delivery of all programs
•Conduct channel surveys and focus groups as needed to develop insights
Presentation and Communication:
•Presentations: develop presentations and support materials for key meetings including but not limited to North America Sales Gathering, National Sales & DOS calls, and key partner Salon and Retailer meetings
•Communication
Collaborate with the Digital team to develop and schedule email communications to Network Salons
Compile content in a clear and organized manner for monthly NA Marketing communication to the Field
Disseminate internal communication of pricing and collateral forecasting
Day-to-day Operations:
•System Management: Program Watch (creative), IMW (forecasting), Sharepoint (excess & obsolete inventory)
•Create NOAM creative briefs and contribute to global asset requests
•Contribute to managing NOAM fuel, sampling and co-op budget
•Manage ad-hoc field and retailer requests for marketing support (image requests, comps, samples)
•Attend and/or lead all necessary North America Marketing associated meetings
Market Performance, Competitive Tracking and Reporting:
•Reporting
Measure marketing program effectiveness by monitoring KPI’s – sell-in, sell-thru (where possible), comparison to benchmark activities/launches, cannibalization, mix of business by channel
Summarize new launch performance from cross functional teams and provide to Global
•Competitive Tracking: Analyze key competitors (marketing programs, new launch strategy, channel execution) and communicate key learnings and recommendations to influence program development
•Market Performance: Provide monthly market performance update (NPD) focused on key competitive and Bb. successes and opportunities and highlighting new launches
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Ability to conceptualize and implement new ideas by thinking strategically and creatively
•Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and expertise in Excel
•Flexibility to manage developing initiatives and quick turnaround for execution
•Strong multi-tasker, ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines
•Excellent team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with cross- functional team members and retail partners
•Excellent written and oral communications
•Exceptional presentation skills
•Self-motivator and ability to personally organize and set priorities.
•Ability to take ownership of projects and drive others to meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Business; MBA preferred
•Must have 5 to 7 years of Marketing experience in beauty industry
•Strong understanding of North America Salon market, Sephora and Ulta preferred
•Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is critical for success
•Demonstrates a strong work ethic, high integrity and commitment to excellence
•Brings proven experience interacting and communicating with senior management
•Effectively communicates at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
