Overview: This position has total category responsibility and is the key driver for panier innovation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the product development for the category and new product concepts and launches. This position will be responsible for managing large scale, total category, projects and direct reports. This position is a key leadership role and plays an important role in the development and coaching of future marketing leaders.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead 3 year panier for the hair color category
• Liaison with the international DMI in Paris to ensure panier alignment and optimization of global projects
• Work alongside Product Development to define trends for the category
• Promote a creative climate that allows teams to express ideas
• Lead and develop the expertise of diverse teams; influence team structure and culture
• Influence other departments to meet brand development goals
• Conduct extensive market research of the US market to decode consumer insights; identify trends and propose strategies
• Collaborate with Creative to create launch materials including merchandising and sampling
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
• BA degree required; MBA desired
• 9+ years of Industry related marketing work experience (consumer package goods or beauty)
• Experience working collaboratively with R&D on a new product or renovation
• Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle
• Strong prior experience in Operational or Global Marketing
• Experience managing challenging projects that may not have been successful
• Experience or exposure to international market

• Brand Administration: create project plan according to panier portfolio gaps; in-depth knowledge of brand equity and management
• Product Development: Partner with PD team to advise in concept writing, formula briefing and evaluation, packaging development and budget
• Market Research: ability to read and interpret research data
• Leadership: Demonstration of leadership with team; support departments and customers
• Strong Project Management Skills
• PC Proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
• Information & Data management
• Rigorous quantitative data analysis skills
• Prioritization & Organization Skills
• Strong Interpersonal Skills (written and oral)
• Strong appreciation for our business / sensitivity to métier
• Must be professional and energetic with a positive attitude
