MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are actively looking for our future Events Manager for our Luxury Division. The Events Manager is responsible for the creation, development, strategy, education, and execution of events in all channels of retail distribution. The Events Manager plans seasonal event strategies by retailer with Sell In and Sell through teams, works with Local Marketing to execute Global Marketing Event/Retailtainment vision, or in absence of Global recommendations- works with Local Marketing to submit event ideas for approval to Global Marketing. The Events Manager is responsible for execution of these plans and recapping to determine success and ROI.
• Create, implement and lead event strategy in all channels of distribution.
• Collaborate with Creative/Merch, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Key Accounts, Field Sales, Education and leadership to assure event themes maximize key brand focuses and service and sales objectives.
• Design event materials and tools that reinforce brand equity and priorities and promote an extraordinary client experience including but not limited to client recruitment and point of sale consultation tools.
• Manage necessary approvals with global trade and local brand marketing
• Manage event calendar and menu of events
• Collaborate with cross functional teams on event allocations, third party vendors, merchandising, in store support and manage cross functional touchpoints
• Educate sell thru field teams on the event objectives, purpose and goals
• Set expectations with field Education team for coaching of all sell thru field teams on event execution
• Develop and communicate performance expectations (total event and door level goals and KPIs), communicate successful field strategies to both corporate and field team members on a consistent basis.
• Track and manage event performance and ROI
• Attend events to evaluate, coach, support and develop the field team’s level of execution. Ensure in store excellence and reinforce perfect store guidelines
• Manage event budget and pay vendors
• This position currently will have an intern position to supervise.
THE COTY IDEAL FIT
• Ability to write professional correspondences on an intermediate/advanced level.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small & large group situations to both internal & external audiences.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have three to five years of experience as a regional education or sales executive, preferably with a skincare/cosmetic competitor.
• Exceptional training, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven knowledge of industry trends and best practices and ability to work across functional areas.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Budget Management experience required.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Complete computer proficiency; to include e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
