The Director, GapTech Finance is a critical role responsible for financial long range planning, annual budget, and the monthly forecast and close processes. This position will lead the team managing technology spend across many diverse technology areas, from Information Security to Product Engineering. This includes accountability for financial visibility to the leadership team, management and reporting of financial goals, and the identification and implementation of financial and operational efficiencies across the organization. This role will work cross functionally across GapTech and will engage with all levels to build out processes that will deliver successful outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead a team of 8 in the day to day tasks of a technology organization
• Drive development of monthly financial forecasts, annual budgets and long range plans for GapTech that accurately reflect anticipated business performance, highlight key issues for senior management, meet Corporate requirements, are aligned with brand strategy, and incorporate recommendations from all key business partners
• Leverage data in decision making and course correct as necessary
• Introduce new tools, processes, and technology to drive efficiencies that will enable the team to work better together and with external stakeholders
• Manage internal and external prioritization, resolving blockers and dependencies
• Provide financial decision making support to GapTech Leadership team, preparing presentations as required
KEY EXPERIENCES
• 10+ years of increasing levels of Financial management experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment
• Strong financial acumen, robust analytical and modeling skills; thorough understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial metrics
• Able to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business recommendations and to clearly communicate complex ideas
• Creative and flexible mindset and approach to planning and problem-solving, ability to lean into the details while maintaining the “big picture”
• Strength in building partnerships; working collaboratively in a matrixed environment with proven influencing skills
• A highly service-orientated approach with a track record of delivery and client satisfaction
• Strong executive presence and experience advising and interfacing with senior executives and business leadership on technology related issues, excellent executive-level verbal and written communication
