The Retail Coordinator is responsible for the execution and maintenance of all merchandising standards within NYC/metro area department stores. This Brand Ambassador for The Collected Group must be passionate and enthusiastic when working with others, results driven and confident to develop/manage long-term business relationships. Must also have strong time management skills and have a great eye for detail and high presentation standards.

• Ensure fresh and consistent flow of goods from stockroom to sales floor
• Establish and execute visual directives and guidelines
• Make sure all markdowns taken on schedule, signed and easy to shop
• Train retail partners on sales strategies, financial goals, product knowledge and visual merchandising standards through various monthly, quarterly and seasonal seminars
• Recognize business needs and proactively develop solutions to improve product displays
Communication
25%
• Maintain consistent and timely dialogue with store management team as well as and internal Sales/Merchandising teams regarding: assortment issues, floor location, stock opportunities and customer/competitive feedback
• Recap business weekly including selling highlights, best/slow sellers and inventory needs
• Liaison between Sales, store Selling Specialists and Visual Managers
• Partner with Retail personnel to discuss overall business opportunities/challenges from store visits; productivity of staff, outpost/window opportunities, shop locations and/or loss of real estate
Sales Strategies

• Oversee Selling Specialist program across all stores
• Develop business driving strategies through sales incentives, contests and creative merchandising
• Understand competitive landscape
• Ensure markdown schedule, staffing and floor space is in line with competition
• Interact with customers to help promote the brand
Miscellaneous:
5%
• Some travel may be required
• All other duties as assigned
Key Stakeholders
VP of Wholesale Sales/team, Wholesale Planning, Director of Merchandising, Director of Retail Visual Manager
Required Skills:
1. Minimum 3-5 years of previous retail experience in Contemporary Market (mgmt. experience ideal)
1. Excellent analytical skills. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office including a high level of proficiency with Excel
1. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written communication
1. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with customers and staff to develop/manage strong relationships
2. Strong organizational skills
3. Proactive attitude, takes initiative, independent thinker
1. Ability to work independently and manage tasks appropriately
