Summary:

The Lead Content Producer will oversee the planning and execution of brand, model & product content to be used across all our digital channels and markets. This role will work closely with our Digital Marketing, Etail & Creative teams to absorb key business objectives and propose the most effective ways to execute digital assets, leveraging both internal and external production resources.
Our ideal candidate will have previous production experience and bring a notable track record of defining processes, sourcing talent and vendors, and a passion for finding and negotiating efficiencies. This role will oversee large scale production efforts but also need the scrappiness to independently produce the smaller scale work as needed. We are looking for a self-starter who is always pushing our team to uplevel our digital content, and thinking about how we can work smarter. This role will need to be a strong collaborator with many cross-functional partners at Benefit, as well as have a strong network of external production partners to leverage.
Essential duties and requirements:
• Owns the Global Digital content production plan and process:
◦ Owns the estimating, scheduling, budgeting, vendor evaluation and negotiating for all production jobs
◦ Leads planning, pre-production, production and post-production
◦ Monitors and controls schedule dependencies for campaigns, working closely with Campaign Project Manager(s)
◦ Ensures all projects are completed on-time and on-budget
• Proven experience and success producing live action shoots, photography shoots, digital projects, talent and contract negotiation and licensing.
• Identifies and secures resources where necessary for campaign shoots (artists, vendors, crew, talent). Guides and monitors work from all resources to achieve content, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Ensures content meets brand needs and delivers against the brief for each campaign. Able to communicate concepts and production dependencies to various internal creative, marketing & executive stakeholders.
• Ideal candidate is an expert negotiator with production costs and knows what can be done, and done well, for 25k and 250k.
• Acts as single point of contact for business stakeholders commissioning production work; creates, plans, organizes, and leads stakeholder meetings to report on program status.
• Tracks costs against budget and reports monthly status of projects; communicates risks and changes.
• Brings ideas and efficiencies to in-house studio efforts, and has vision on how to grow an internal production team.
• Feels comfortable writing the playbook - establish process and best practices for this newly created function
Qualifications:
• 5+ years previous production experience (digital content experience a plus)
• Knowledge of the beauty industry is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong understanding of the internet and a passionate user of digital technologies who is curious about the evolution of this space
• Demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and to work collaboratively in a team environment, ability to work with a wide range of contributors (designers, project managers, business leaders).
• Well organized with excellent attention to detail and quality. Must be proactive in retrieving and following up on all assets necessary to get job done on time and with quality, able to identify requirements to execute tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
