GENERAL FUNCTION
The Data Coordinator is responsible for ensuring membership data in 834 and proprietary formats are loaded timely and accurately to the system. The main responsibilities include loading data with various formats, performing data validation rules, troubleshooting data issues, coordinating and communicating with management, cross functional teams and clients. Perform additional reporting duties within the department.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Load membership data into Facets efficiently and accurately.
• Follow research and data processing guidelines and meet established standards.
• Ability to explain data format requirements and any data errors and exceptions.
• Ability to effectively and clearly communicate with client service team regarding data layout or data integrity issues in a timely manner and escalate as necessary to EyeMed management team
• Own and or assist in additional membership reporting duties.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork abilities and act as a role model for other associates within the department.
• Train and mentor new associates within the department
• Identify and recommend systems and process modifications necessary to effectively and efficiently support the membership load function.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• At least 3 years Information Systems related experience
• In depth understanding of electronic data (834 transactions and proprietary formats) and Facets
• Proficient with Facets, and MS Office(MS Word, Excel, Access), EDW
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Associates Degree in Information Systems
• Detailed working knowledge of basic personal computer operations.
• Strong customer service focus
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot electronic data issues
• Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
• Excellent time management skills
• Working knowledge of EDI applications (EMP Dashboard, MEET, FTP, encryption tools)
• Flexible, grasps concepts quickly
• Initiates process improvement
