POPSUGAR Inc. is a global media, lifestyle and technology company that reaches millions of mostly millennial women monthly with trusted editorial content, operates PopSugar Studios, a leading, multi-platform producer of original video and shows, a full-service in-house creative agency, an experiential marketing business, and a consumer products business in beauty, apparel and more.
PopSugar Studios seeks a Video Creative Strategist & Developer to help us continue to grow the quality, innovation and creativity of our video concepts across editorial, native and long form licensed content.
Your Qualities:
• A constant idea-generator -- in the shower, on a walk, eating fries or locked in room with other creatives
• A natural storyteller with strong creative instincts for ideas and hooks that are irresistible to millennial women
• A natural instinct for a big, head-turning creative ideas
• Able to shape creative to further the objectives of our brand partners and the programming needs of platforms and networks
• Capable of interpreting and incorporating our data and insights into your creative ideation
• You “get” the video landscape as a true consumer of relevant video content
• You understand how to optimize video formats for social platforms
• A strong researcher, writer and presenter -- and when we turn you loose, you can win over executives, clients and buyers with your ideas
• You enjoy playing on a team and collaborating with producers, talent bookers, editors, agency execs, sales teams, and clients

• High degree of drive, energy, accountability, initiative, fearlessness, empathy, and integrity
Your Role:
• Stay on top of video trends, formats, shows, talent -- an expert on what’s happening and what’s next in the world of pop culture and lifestyle content
• Interpret brand client objectives and create fresh, persuasive, original and engaging video ideas that further these objectives -- proactively and reactively
• Understand and leverage PopSugar’s brand voice, data, insights, and editorial expertise to guide creative
• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to develop video concepts for brand campaigns
• Collaborate with PopSugar subject matter experts and our in-house agency to develop ideas for lifestyle content (e.g. wellness, fitness, family, beauty, food, travel, fashion, tech, dating, entertainment and social good)
• Create treatments, presentations, and scripts for ideas and formats
• Present your ideas and formats to executives, in-house agency staff and clients
• Work with producers, in-house agency staff, sales staff and clients to help turn creative into outstandingly executed video
Your Qualifications:
• 3+ years of relevant creative experience at an agency, production company or publisher; your experience should include video but does not need to be exclusively video
• Experience in copywriting, content marketing, branded content or advertising
• Experience developing for longform not required but a plus
• Based in Los Angeles or New York
