Benefit Cosmetics operates 43 international websites in 23 languages that are core to our digital programs, and we’re seeking a Senior Director of Global Web to set the strategy and drive the evolution of these websites. This role will oversee Product Management, Engineering, and Content & Merchandising Operations on development and execution of roadmap priorities.
Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering great digital experiences – from both a development delivery standpoint, as well as with efficient and effective global rollout from an operations standpoint. We want someone who is always pushing our team to make our sites better and thinking about how we can work smarter. This role will need to be comfortable working with using data to make decisions, as well as be a strong collaborator with many cross-functional partners to drive results.
Essential duties and requirements:
Product Management
• Set the vision and strategy for our websites.
• Develop and execute our digital roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities and KPIs.
• Collaborate with global and local cross-functional partners, and outside vendors on ideation and execution of roadmap items.
• Monitor advancements in ecommerce and digital space, as well as competitive landscape, for opportunities and new ideas to improve our customer’s digital experience.
• Partner closely with Analytics on A/B testing, pre/post analyses, and site satisfaction measures to drive roadmap priorities.
Engineering & QA
• Oversee our team of developers, QA, and external vendors on continuous feature updates and high equality releases within an Agile environment.
• Work with Engineering to assess architecture, tools, vendors, and technical solutions to identify gaps and opportunities to improve web maintainability, stability, quality, performance, and innovation/customer experience.
• Help remove roadblocks to success so that our team can more effectively manage releases and our web systems.
Content & Site Merchandising
• Own Benefit’s global content calendar strategy that brings the Benefit brand, voice, and products to life across our websites and drives brand engagement.
• Partner with the Creative team to drive content evolution by synthesizing site testing results, monthly reporting of key metrics, competitive landscape, as well as customer feedback.
• Continually refine our site operations process to make more efficient.
• Be the advocate for the customer to ensure product information is helpful and relevant.
• Be the champion of SEO across our sites, participate in a regular review and audit of search keywords, and initiate site updates to improve search results and increase website SEO ranking.
• Manage the site ops team to execute the content calendar and support market activities.
General Management
• Ensure stakeholders and all web teams are communicating and collaborating effectively.
• Improve process for output, defining timelines, quality metrics, and accountability.
• Regularly communicate and get feedback from markets on site objectives, roadmap, updates.
• Provide guidance to eCommerce market teams on opportunities to drive sales, productivity, experience. Foster sharing and learning among teams.
• Champion customer and stakeholder needs throughout program execution, ensuring that what is delivered meets the stated goals and objectives.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Manage the global web budgets, vendors, and contracts.

Qualifications:
• 10+ years previous experience in managing website or digital properties.
• Proven track record of getting things done and done well as demonstrated by products you have built or projects you’ve successfully spearheaded.
• Strong experience working with web content tools and/or development teams, and global teams.
• Intuitive grasp of customer and a drive to reach and satisfy customers.
• Analytical skills - ability to draw conclusions from data and sales reports.
• Content and SEO experience is highly preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well across the organization and with 3rd parties.
