GENERAL FUNCTION
The Sr. Director of Store Operations supports the achievement of sales through the development and leadership of key corporate initiatives to increase service and value of the retail operation leading to an exceptional customer experience. This position is responsible for developing and leading the store and field operations strategy linked to improving business performance. This role is also responsible for leading the communication strategy for the brand to ensure there is clear communication and alignment within the stores and corporate office, encompassing all cross-functional areas.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define and implement approved strategic decisions through benchmarking, evaluating, testing and recommending best practices that align with business building strategies
• Initiate and lead the development of projects to support our store leaders and employees to exceed business and customer goals
• Responsible for all existing operational activities, ensuring that the stores operate in the most efficient and effective way to provide a sales and customer service focus
• Develops and implements policies and procedures, with oversight for stores to be in compliance
• Lead and effectively work business initiatives with cross-functional teams
• Builds and fosters collaborative relationships with all brand team members, field leadership and corporate to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives and business processes
• Develop the strategic direction for store processes and services to increase service and value in the retail operation
• Lead the deployment of all brand specific training for stores and field
• Provides leadership and support on brand initiatives to ensure the field is positioned to execute with excellence
• Responsible for field and brand communications ensuring the right amount and methods are used for optimal communication across the brand
• Responsible for IT deployment and implementation across the brand in partnership with the IT COE
• Apply knowledge and experience to evaluate alternative solutions to drive positive project outcomes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 12 years retail experience or equivalent supervisory experience
• Demonstrate initiative and sense of urgency
• Strong leadership skills
• Visionary/Strategic minded
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of store operations
