The Import and Reporting Analyst provides necessary skills to ensure shipments are moving through the supply chain correctly in order to meet a target receiving date set by internal partners and is involved in daily decisions to maximize on-time performance while minimizing cost.
• Inbound Operations- Monitor, review and track all inbound product to ensure it is on schedule to meet required dates. Analyze multiple routing guidelines for optimal utilization, cost and on-time performance. Determine the business impact of any delivery issues, prioritize and communicate any issues relative to product flow as they arise.
• Internal/External Liaison – Act as a point person between Planning/OML/Distribution teams (internal) and carriers/forwarders/transload/drayage providers (external) to ensure any issues related to on-time delivery are handled.
• Coverage – Assist the Sr. Import and Reporting Analyst with internal reporting of shipment status and availability of freight. Independent decision making on how shipments will be routed by evaluating the overall cost and time constraints using a set routing and cost matrix.
• Air Quotes – Preparation of air quotes across all business units
• Ad Hoc Reporting– creation of reports and data analysis of supply chain events
• Transportation System Updates - update internal transportation management system data to ensure accuracy
• Assist in setting metrics, targets and KPIs supporting the companys operating and financial commitments
Experience and Skills
• 3-5 years of experience required with a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 6 years related experience without a Bachelors degree
• Transportation, Logistics, and/or Supply Chain experience strongly preferred
• Retail and/or apparel industry experience preferred
• Use general office equipment to include computer, printer, copier, telephone and calculator
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
• Effective collaboration in cross-functional teams and can drive results with outside partners
• Effective project management and interpersonal communication skills
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (strong skills in Outlook and Excel - Access preferred)
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to articulate these skills in effective Excel models
• Communicate effectively both oral and written, and be able to work well in a group or individually
• Utilize good judgment and decision making skills under pressure
• Possess excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple daily tasks and projects
• Operate in a dynamic fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision
• Detail oriented
• Excellent creative thinking skills for a dynamic global transportation environment
• GT Nexus experience preferred
