Retail Marketing Manager:
Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategy and creation of all tactical and programmatic campaigns that drive traffic to The North Face retail stores. The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of these campaigns in close partnership with various corporate partners, agency partners and business/field teams. This individual will also assist with commercial campaigns and analyze results and apply learnings to future programs.
How You Will Make a Difference:
The Retail Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and driving the execution of all seasonal commercial retail marketing initiatives including:
• Assist in the development and execution of traffic driving initiatives for key commercial initiatives (holiday, back to campus, sale), analyzes all campaign results and provides a detailed recap including recommendations for future campaigns
• Produce seasonal catalogs in partnership, and with input from, various teams/businesses, agencies, and print vendors, on-time and on-budget
• Manage all programmatic store Grand Opening marketing plans including paid media tactics, communications, store events and promotions
• Create and manage tactical sustain marketing programs that continue to drive traffic to stores in off-peak seasons
• Ensure the marketing support of product/brand energy stories in store
• Partner with retail business/field teams in response to traffic performance issues and develop marketing solutions to address, be flexible and nimble with reprioritization of projects as the business needs
• Supports integration of campaigns with retail events and activations in partnership with the Community Marketing Manager
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in retail marketing, account marketing or brand marketing for a consumer lifestyle brand/retailer
Educational/ Position Requirements:
• BA or BS degree in Marketing, Business, or Retail Merchandising
• Media savvy: experience with media buying, planning and reporting metrics (social, display, OOH, print)
• Experience managing the strategy and execution for a brand/retailer’s marketing strategy from concept to execution
• Knowledge of marketing metrics/reporting, calculating ROI and extracting meaningful results from data
• Strong ability to create well-designed presentations that are clear, succinct and understood by all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and flexibility in a fast-paced environment while maintaining calm and focus
• Well organized, extremely detailed and deadline oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations. Proven ability to communicate effectively with partners across various roles. Confident in communicating with internal and external contacts and building and maintaining relationships.
• Ability to represent retail marketing point of view and effectively collaborate in decision making with cross-functional partners
• Proficiency using a MAC, Excel, PowerPoint and Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, InDesign). Apple programs a plus.
