Areas of Accountability:
Responsible for all aspects of accounting, internal and external reporting, business partner support and financial controls for the following areas of the global financial statements:
• Treasury / Cash Management; including in-house bank
• Debt and Interest Expense
• Intercompany Financing Arrangements
• Intercompany Reconciliation and Settlement
On-going
• Manage and develop the intercompany and treasury accounting teams
• Ensure proper & timely recording of treasury / in-house bank transactions
• Oversee global intercompany processes / procedures / timelines
• Facilitate the intercompany netting process
• Support and manage business partner expectations and understanding of treasury and intercompany processes
• Coordinate / manage work performed by Wipro including compliance with SOPs / SLAs
• Escalation point for treasury, intercompany processing issues, and other issue areas
• Coordinate and provide support for internal and external auditors
• Participate in Treasury/Intercompany projects and work closely with internal groups including GBS/Controllership, Treasury, IT, Sarbanes-Oxley
• Coordinate and support other projects/initiatives as directed, such as, hedging program, subsidiary recapitalizations/reorganizations, and debt financing.
Monthly
• Ensure key controls are performed and evidenced appropriately for all aspects of treasury and intercompany accounting
• Perform detailed review over supporting documentation, reasonableness and appropriateness of the accounting journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper review is performed for processes, journal entries and reconciliations completed by Wipro
• Review mark-to-market reports and resulting journal entries
• Review the reasonableness / results of foreign currency re-measurement
• Review debt and other treasury related account balances for appropriateness and accuracy
• Provide fluctuation analysis / explanation of fluctuations
• Prepare analytics on variances / drivers of key balances for Corporate
• Design and generate reports as requested by business partners to support a variety of purposes, including Treasury/Intercompany projects and financial statement or tax audits.
Quarterly
• Coordinate preparation of journal entries and effectiveness testing for hedging program
• Coordinate preparation and review quarter-end schedules, analytics and variance analysis to support trial balance reviews and external reporting
• Prepare and review quarter-end external reporting files to be support the10-Q and 10-K SEC filings
• Manage team and business partners (including Wipro) to ensure compliance with internal deadlines
Management:
• Position reports to Sr. Finance Manager Hedge Accounting
• Position will manage 5 Staff members
• Strong interaction with Corp Treasury Team, Global Asst. Controller, Regional Controllers.
