Mission/Role
The Director, Human Resources will act as the business partner to the North America Direct to Consumer business (DTC) by providing both strategic and operational guidance and recommendations in performance management, employee relations, succession planning, policy design, communications and talent acquisition. This role requires a collaborative team player to drive outstanding HR support to the North America Field Organization.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide both strategic and operational HR planning and partnership for the DTC NA business group executing on the business strategy to drive profitable growth.
Act as a key partner to the Vice President, Retail to support the retail field and human resources functions across organizational design, performance management, compensation planning and talent acquisition.
Oversee, handle and monitor employee relations issues. Escalate issues when necessary and work in conjunction with the SVP, Legal, HR & General Counsel as well as external Labor and Employment counsel to ensure appropriate and timely resolution.
Partner with HR colleagues on any potential company program or benefits changes and draft and ensure appropriate communications tools.
Ensure compliance as a multi-state employer to all state and federal employment law updates/legislation and communicate updates to the appropriate teams.
Work closely with the HR Operations team on the seamless administration of HR practices and projects including annual reviews, merit, bonus administration or any other HR operations related projects.
Partner closely with the Retail Operations and Field teams to manage internal staffing opportunities and ensure appropriate potential promotional opportunities.
Lead and mentor a Manager, Human Resources focusing on employee relations and internal investigation issues.
Special projects as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related area
• Minimum 8 yrs previous directly related work experience
• Previous experience in a Retail, Wholesale or Direct to Consumer space required
• Flexibility to 15% travel as needed
• Excellent leadership, coaching, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Able to execute at both a tactical and strategic levels
• Strong communication skills
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience required
• Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS system required
