Grandin Road, an aspirational home and lifestyle brand, is looking for a highly motivated Producer that would maintain relationships with freelance talent, homeowners and partners while keeping our projects running smoothly. The Producer exemplifies the white glove experience customers expect during photo shoots or video shoots in their homes. As a Grandin Road Producer, you would partner with Creative and Art Directors to maintain all production schedules and manage the fiscal aspects of the production.
Responsibilities
• Support Creative Director & Art Director(s) on all pre and post-shoot logistics.
• Participate in meetings related to photo or video content production and studio related logistics.
• Partner with the finance team to ensure project budgets are being met.
• Source new locations and maintain current locations for team viewing.
• Partner with the director to source new talent and to maintain project resources.
• Coordinate all freelance bookings for assigned projects (including lead stylists, assistant stylists, photographers, and photo assistants).
• Manage multiple locations for all productions as needed:
◦ Negotiate location fees to fit budgetary needs.
◦ Coordinate location logistics with client and crew.
◦ Obtain permits/certificates of insurance as needed for each location.
◦ Arrange parking (or additional parking) for crew/client as needed.
◦ Arrange travel for crew as needed.
◦ Create call sheets with all details needed for crew (call time, address, contact info, etc).
◦ Coordinate crew meals and set-up craft services for each location shoot.
◦ Attend location shoots and work hands-on during daily production so the director and team can focus on the creative aspects.
◦ Work hands-on to ensure location is left clean and location walk-through is conducted.
◦ Assist in studio as need for production.
• Improve productivity and efficiency of productions together with Art Director(s):
◦ Develop shot list for all photography for each project.
◦ Support Art Director in creating schedules as needed for each project.
◦ Work with VP Creative and Sr. Art Director to ensure project stays on or under allocated budget.
◦ Set up new freelancers, vendors, independent contractors as needed while complying with company policies.
◦ Work with Sr. Art Director to book appropriate crew and talent based on project needs.
◦ Manage departmental corporate credit cards spending by ensuring all purchase receipts/returns are accounted for and reconciled.
◦ Sign off/Approve/Reconcile invoices, expense reports and time sheets pertaining to each project.
◦ Work closely with other members of the production department to ensure all jobs and tasks are being managed appropriately.
• Produce pre and post travel shoot logistics while staying within budgetary means:
◦ Work closely with Art Director to create production schedule.
◦ Work with Art Director to book appropriate crew and talent based on project needs.
◦ Source and book lodging for crew and talent.
◦ Book final location selects and coordinate location details.
◦ Book all flights and rental vehicles for crew and talent.
• Project management:
◦ Maintain team calendars for photography and creative production.
◦ Assist with entry of project details from briefs into project management software.
◦ Gather information as needed to keep projects moving forward.
Qualifications
• 3-7 years of similar project management
• Must be able to travel around 25% of the year
• Ability to attend location shoots, both daytime and evening, depending on the project.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Consistently dependable with regard to attendance and punctuality
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
