Job Summary:
The International Planner will be responsible for directing and guiding International partners to execute strategies that will maximize growth and drives sales while minimizing inventory risk. This includes the financial management of assigned countries of responsibility, including the creation of financial and merchandise plans, actualization of results, and a keen ability to identify, communicate, and implement strategic business opportunities at the division, category, and season code levels. The International Planner will forecast sales, markdowns, and inventory levels on a regular basis and communicate any risks/opportunities to the internal team as well as the partners. The International Planner will identify risks to the business and develop action plans in cooperation with their merchandising partner to mitigate risks and increase profitably. This individual must be a dynamic, flexible and energetic individual, with a strong passion for retail, confidence in financials, also possessing the ability to communicate effectively across international markets and cultures.
Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
• Lead Seasonal Hindsight and OTB meetings for Quarterly International market
• Partner with Merchant and International partners to support and make thoughtful recommendations during the Quarterly buy process
• Lead calls & create Planning agendas for weekly partner calls
• Partner with IT and partners on ensuring daily sales are updated accurately to feed daily/weekly reporting
• Review/validate daily financial plans at store level. Create division, category, and season code levels for fiscal time periods
• Reforecast sales, markdown, and inventory for fiscal time periods at division, category, and season code levels
• Recap end of season/holiday performance at division, category, season, and style levels for merchandise buy period
• Create detailed reports, recaps and Excel tools used to analyze business and provide direction to partners
• Create ad hoc reports and recaps as needed

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal team, partners, peers and senior management

• Expertise in planning tools and Microsoft Office

• Confidence and ability to make educated decisions quickly and comfortable with taking calculated risks
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• 3-5 years of experience in Merchandise Planning
