Reporting to the Regional Manager Merchandise Coordinators, the District Manager ensures annual district and account door sales unit plans are met as measured by fiscal yearend sales reports for assigned stores and consumer segments. Promotes and protects our brand value propositions in the marketplace. Develop collaborative essential relationships with account District partners that influences space and product assortment and supports training programs that deliver ongoing maintenance and effective selling of LS&Co. branded products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Create strategic Merchandise Coordinator action plans to increase sales for assigned District which includes providing store sales analytics as well as internal and customer reports, which direct team to use opportunities on floor to create return on investment and grow market share
• Lead market visits and progress reviews to coach Merchandise Coordinators to create consistent execution standards and sales results, develop relationships with account partners, and conduct competitive assessments using LS&Co. expectations
• Ensure an elevated consumer experience is delivered through on-floor excellence that reflects the ultimate brand expression
• Use LS&Co. expectations model to coach and build development plans that improve personal and team capabilities including the hiring and training of talent that maximizes the effectiveness of the Merchandise Coordinator position and builds team strength
• Provide outstanding customer service and increase sales through interactive selling techniques to our consumers by ensuring team is provided tools to conduct required account product knowledge trainings and educational seminars for all covered door associates and brand specialists for both Levi’s® and Dockers® brands
• Provide consistent district feedback to Regional Manager and internal sales, merchandising and marketing partners that translate external trends, marketplace realities and industry knowledge into insights and solutions that increase profitable growth
• Manage District team budgets that support team approved financial plan goals; on-time development of operational tasks that support the communication of the District team’s key responsibilities
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Education: BA/BS preferred or related retail or wholesale experience
• Experience: Minimum of three years management experience with retail, wholesale or visual merchandising background preferred, and experiencing managing direct reports
• Excellent managerial, and interpersonal skills required
• Proven business and financial skills
• Excel, Word, , XP and PowerPoint
• Creative thinker
