2019 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Internship program includes the following elements to round out the work you do with our design teams on a day to day basis:
• Intern Orientation
• Speaker Series with business leadership
• Cross-Functional Project
• Intern Sports League
• Social Events
• Mentorship
YOUR TASKS
• Support Test Engineer to conduct lab performance and mechanical testing, according to established adidas standards and practices.
• Collaborate with testing execution to write reports, distribute and present the results of testing to each of the relevant personnel, which can include Marketing, Development, Design, Testing, and Future.
• Analyze and formulate reports to find trends or relevant information within large datasets.
• Familiarize and understand various mechanical testing and how that relates to athlete performance.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of mechanics, sport shoes, and footwear development
• Understanding of human anatomy, physiology and biomechanical analysis tools
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in a 2018-2019 full-time academic program.
• Graduating in winter 2019 or spring 2020 with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanics or equivalent, preferred
• Eligible to work in the US without restrictions.
• Available to work full-time in Portland, Oregon for the duration of the 12-week program (May 29th – August 23rd) ** Alternative start date available
