The Graphic Designer will create emails, web creative, direct mails, ads and other marketing assets that will be viewed by our audience across channels. This person is responsible for creating on-brand and on trend marketing designs that have a high visual impact and increase the emotional connection to the DSW brand. Reports to Art Director. No direct reports. Must possess the ability to:
•Designs emails, web assets, print and digital ads and other assets that will viewed by our audience across all marketing channels
•Produce, optimize and output final web-ready digital artwork
•Collaborate with internal creative, CRM, UX and other cross-functional teams to support and develop creative that coincide with marketing objectives
•Collaborates closely with Digital, Print, Brand, UX and Copy team
•Execute against strategic marketing initiatives to support business goals and objectives
•Develops design solutions that enhance DSW brand
•Must be passionate about responsive and mobile first design and the pursuit of creative excellence
•Poses creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to graphic design
•Think independently to create new ideas and concepts
•Manage creative ideas from concept to execution and release
•Manage time wisely to allow for the independent, accurate design and production of multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines
•Respond quickly to design challenges and new business needs
Qualifications:
•3+ years of industry design experience with an emphasis on digital design
•Bachelor's Degree required in design-related discipline
•Proven design abilities and a portfolio of work
•Excellent layout and design skills with an understanding of type and imagery
•Expected to easily function independently and collaboratively, bringing fresh thinking, an open mind, and a strong work ethic to the team environment
•Ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, customer-friendly experiences
•Ability to clearly articulate creative ideas and concepts and present those ideas in a compelling manner
•Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Photoshop
•Excellent oral and interpersonal skills
•Passionate about DSW and the DSW customer
•Alignment to DSW vision and core values
•Possess a solid understanding of the relationship between content, responsive design, user interface and technology
•retail/fashion experience is a plus
