T.J. Maxx together with Marshalls, forms The Marmaxx Group, the largest division of The TJX Companies, Inc.. The Marmaxx Group has a new and exciting opportunity for a Creative Director. Based in our Framingham, MA headquarters, in the newly created position, you will be accountable for leading and directing an internal creative team. As the Creative Director, you will lead the translation of brand strategy into brand design and marketing communications, intended to drive short and long term growth of the brand. You will lead a brand specific creative team and partner with brand management, Media/Digital Marketing, Marketing Services and external agencies to drive the implementation of distinct brand platforms that inform content development and distribution.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the strategic, multichannel creative representation of the brand including identity, voice, image, and experience ensuring deep understanding and alignment of business and customer needs
• Oversees the execution of the annual integrated marketing and communications plans through the execution of the performance-driven, customer-centric creative work to ensure strong sales and increased awareness, resulting in market share growth
• Leads the long term creative evolution of the brand in partnership with Brand, Media and Digital Marketing, and strategic agency partners
• Develops and leads the internal content development process in close partnership with Brand, Media and Digital Marketing, Marketing Services, and external agencies ensuring content generation the effectively and efficiently fulfils business goals
• Fosters strong relationships across TJX divisions and within Marmaxx to support seamless partnership across all of TJX marketing
• Operational responsibility for managing a large and diverse creative team; attract, assess, retain, and develop talent by creating an environment that provides direction, continuous learning and development, and commitment to common vision and shared values
• Develops successors and talent pools for key positions across the corporation. Provide accurate timely developmental feedback to all team members
• Leads third party suppliers as needed to fulfil video/photo shoots, creative execution, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 12+ years multi-channel creative marketing experience with a deep strength in digital marketing; e-commerce experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Visual Arts, Design, Marketing, Journalism or related experience
• Proven ability to work in all mediums, with a heavy concentration in digital
• Demonstrated leadership skills along with proven experience managing and developing talent within creative teams in an in-house or agency environment
• Strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated success collaborating, partnering and influencing at all levels and across all functions of the organization
• Comfortable managing large project portfolio deadlines and deliverables in a fast pace, changing environment
• Recognizable executive presence and excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
