Job Summary
The Brand Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting TOMS’ brand strategy and marketing efforts globally. This individual will be responsible for bringing our brand evolution and changemaker programs to life. S/he will act as the keeper of the brand, and oversee all Brand and Impact communication and content to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
Essential Responsibilities
Brand Strategy
• Contribute to the development of our global brand strategy, ensuring brand product and giving integration
• Research cultural/industry trends, consumer insights and competitive landscape to help inform brand strategy development
• Develop consumer journey to ensure marketing/content efforts will drive awareness, consideration and purchase
• Support brand strategy development in the go-to-market process
• Provide ongoing brand strategy support for our regional/global cross-functional partners
• Support with brand guardianship to ensure brand consistency across all our global communication efforts
Marketing Strategy and Execution
• Contribute to the development of our global marketing strategy, including our changemaker/impact marketing programs
• Partner with the Giving Team to guide NGO and changemaker program integration. Oversee development and execution of impact programs and activations, and giving communications globally.
• Oversee brand marketing execution across our paid, owned and earned efforts
• Contribute to building and socializing global marketing calendar
• Lead development of brand/cultural moments creative briefs, and work with the regional marketing leads to execute
• Build brand programs and experiences that are relevant to the influencer community
• Changemaker Programs
• Support with identifying, vetting and securing changemakers globally
• Work closely with the regional marketing teams to scope changemaker projects and develop marketing programs, content and activations specific to each region
• Lead the Americas changemaker management which includes building contracts, overseeing project development and acting as the client liaison
Project Management
• Lead the coordination of key projects including: planning, execution, and measurement
• Project manage timelines, key stakeholder input/approvals, and deliverables
• Lead special projects and innovation efforts to engage with new audiences and drive brand demand (ie. business school pitch competitions, partnerships)
• Track metrics and analyze progress against agreed upon KPIs. Share findings with stakeholders and makes recommendations to inform future planning.
• Support with budget management
Requirements and Qualifications
• Develop trusting relationships with key stakeholders and employees across TOMS departments
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses outstanding follow-through skills
• Ability to effectively manage time across diverse and multiple work streams
• Self-directing and motivated; ability to lead without authority
• Strong Project Management skills
• Comfortable in a growing, fast-changing company environment
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 5+ years of professional creative, marketing/brand experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
