Oversee the creation of all brand materials for the American Eagle Brand. Manage designers, seasonal creative, print, media and store experience development, while maintaining aesthetic consistency down to the detail level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct the design, concept and on-time creation of all brand materials for AEO including in-store, omni-chanel, CRM, print marketing, seasonal campaigns, and branding.
• Create and lead the design implementation of projects incorporating innovative visual design, copy, and brand assets, while being mindful of audience and consumer needs and likes.
• Be resourceful and aware of current trends in retail, media, music, style, and pop culture to create innovative brand campaigns.
• Organize all creative and production work to meet deadlines.
• Maintain archived marketing department creative files.
• Audit organization for brand consistency down to the detail level.
• Partner with merchant teams and cross-functional partners to develop creative solutions for business needs.
• Work closely with the photo studio to ensure visual direction and quality of image including, image cropping and color correction.
• Assist with managing designers, freelance graphic designers, and other artists.
• Core member of AE Design Team, responsible for achieving all annual corporate goals.
• Additional responsibilities & projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Graphic or Web Design, Marketing, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of Professional Graphic Design / Web Design experience. Web or Retail Experience a plus.
• Strong creative and conceptual thinker with the ability to motivate designers towards innovative visual solutions.
• Portfolio of representative work will be required
• Experience with print media and production
• Extremely proficient in Adobe software
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to manage and work well within a team
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
