Responsibilities
The Global Marketing Strategy Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Global Marketing team. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Global Marketing Strategy, however provides logistical support across all Global Marketing Strategy initiatives. The ideal candidate should demonstrate capability for effectively navigating a matrixed organization, positively and proactively collaborating, consolidating various inputs, effectively communicating, and following through with a variety of departments.
The Coordinator will be a critical member of the marketing team and will support the Marketing Manager for initiatives including, but not limited to:
• Partner Marketing Strategy: Partner with the Global Marketing team to help manage each business partner’s marketing strategy and communication for specialty retail, outlet, ecommerce, wholesale and license partners
• Global Marketing Communications: Communicate the kate spade new york global brand marketing strategy to all global markets & ensure all markets have necessary assets + tools to execute. Work with the wider team to create information templates, gather information and feedback from global markets, and assemble into comprehensive recaps.
• Creative briefing: Support the team by working with the creative and project management department to brief in all marketing collateral
• Global Marketing Summit: Partner with cross-functional teams to execute the bi-annual Global Marketing Summit. Responsibilities include: liaising with cross-functional teams at Tapestry, booking locations, securing gift bags, selecting catering, managing guest lists + RSVPs, and ensuring the entire summit runs smoothly
The Coordinator will additionally be directly responsible for:
• Distribution Lists: Maintain contact list
• Quarterly Marketing Packs for Travel Retail doors: own collecting, briefing, printing and sending all relevant marketing materials to all Travel Retail doors
• New Store Opening Programs: Attend weekly NSO calls, ensure local marketing teams are aware and prepared with all necessary marketing tools + own briefing/coordination of NSO emails, mall placements, etc. Necessitates critical liaising with Store Operations
• Critical assistance with the Global Marketing Strategy team’s:
◦ Global Marketing Calendar
◦ Seasonal tracking/recaps: collecting creative examples for tracking and reporting needs
◦ Support with expenses when needed (coding, processing and tracking)
◦ Assistance with special cross-functional projects, presentations and task forces
◦ Global competitive analysis projects
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline
• Previous marketing experience in a luxury goods or comparable retail or creative environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
• Strong time management skills – able to manage priorities and work under tight deadlines
• Highly collaborative individual comfortable with decision making in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment
• Proactive and team oriented
• Works well both as part of a team and independently
• Professional demeanor, forward thinker and proactive approach
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong understanding of brand aesthetics and market place
• Skilled with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook required
