Coordinate production activities in support of the planning department. Assist Manufacturing departments with routing improvements, cycle counts, and production/packaging issues.
Spend time to learn each departments process as it pertains to the planning role.
Required Skills:
Manufacturing Planning/Inventory control
• Monitor inventory levels and product demand in order to produce production schedules and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Work closely with facility planners to communicate production schedules and to prioritize production
• Monitor work in process inventory
• Coordinate product flow and work with all departments to facilitate product movements within the facility
• Monitor seasonal roll outs to ensure product arrives in DC 2 weeks prior to ship date.
• Monitor CTL and GCC requests with packaging coordinator to ensure that samples are sent by the requested date.
Shortage Reporting
• Issue daily shortage reports for the manufacturing floor and track shortages on the report or as directed by management.
• Create/update/maintain a roll out report two times per week for styles being produced in the Burlington facility (2-3 times per week)
• Work with the manufacturing departments to ensure that the product continues to move thru the process and assist in making this happen.
Error Corrections
• Monitor daily error reports and make corrections as needed
• Errors should be identified and corrected on the first day they show up on the reports
Manufacturing
• Work with manufacturing to understand process
• Support Manufacturing with OT needs
• Learn all Manufacturing processes for development and Growth
Required Experience:
Required skills and knowledge:
• Computer skills
• Must be proficient in Excel and able to learn new systems
• Ability to analyze and interpret data sets
• Good communication and organizational skills
Required education/training:
College degree required. 3 to 5 years’ experience preferred but not mandatory.
