Project Manager (Contract)
About the team:
POPSUGAR is looking for a well-organized go-getter to join the Project Management team in NYC! Project Managers are the execution anchor for all sold client-funded and white-label content programs. They work cross-functionally with Sales, Photo, Video, Design, Engineering, Edit, Social, Talent, Events, Marketing, and product teams to successfully execute small-, mid-, and large-scale programs from kickoff through launch as key stakeholders of the timeline and launch.
This position will sit within The Bakery, POPSUGAR’s in-house content studio, and will report into the Senior Manager, Project Management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Creative Services Managers to understand the project vision for a dedicated client to ultimate deliver best-in-class content and campaigns.
• Assess the requirements of the project to develop the scope/timelines, milestones, and oversee the specific deliverables to effectively and efficiently ensure all sold projects are executed on brand and on time.
• Work to secure creative assets and direction from internal stakeholders and teams.
• Facilitate campaign execution by working with editorial, video, influencer, events, and marketing teams to ensure proper execution on all sold program elements.
• Work with design and engineering teams to develop custom units and oversee the build to ensure proper functionality.
• Coordinate calendars to schedule meetings and own status updates; providing an agenda along with follow up notes.

• Quick to see ahead, identify roadblocks and potential barriers, altering teams as needed
What you have:
• 3-4 years of prior branded content project management or production experience within an online media publication or ad agency
• Process oriented, but can easily adapt to a growing company with an evolving process
• Passionate and respectful of the creative process, acting as the supportive, problem-solving anchor within any execution
• Strong people management skills - ability to lead a team from both a project and people perspective
• Ability to drive projects forward, anticipate needs, strategize solutions and take the initiative
• Great communication, collaboration, and attention to detail skills
• An interest in digital advertising and specifically, branded content
