Director of E-Commerce - Footaction
Overview
The Director of E-Commerce is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the eCommerce business including, business planning, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design and technologies.
Responsibilities
• Align product strategy, technology and marketing with digital initiatives to grow online and mobile capabilities.
• Make informed recommendations based on data including recommendations on cross sale products to produce maximum sales, product allocation of .com vs instore.
• Navigate the matrix environment and work cross-functionally with Buyers, Marketing and IT as well as counterparts across brands
• Run and analyze complex sales reports and present to various business functions with recommendations based on data
• Works closely with and manage strategic wholesale vendor partner relationships
• Develop cutting edge digital roadmaps to execute a best-in-class consumer experience across all touchpoints; .com, and mobile.
• Lead site merchandising and user experience and help further develop digital needs
• Work with cross functional, cross channel teams to drive prioritized initiatives from strategy creation through proof of concept phases. Participate in pilot, rollouts and implementations on an as needed basis.
• Work closely and align with Digital Marketing Director to align business opportunities and priorities. Curate and manage the pipeline of innovative ideas, owning the operational rhythm to expose concepts to the senior leadership team.
• Partner with marketing team to align on go-to-market strategies, development of cross-functional partnerships to create a rigorous focus on process efficiency, business effectiveness, and product innovation.
• Present divisional strategies to a broader audience with the ability to influence others
• Ensure brand consistency and presence on all digital properties
• Stays on top of latest industry trends
• Take a leadership role on all things eCommerce within the Footaction brand
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years eCommerce merchandising/buying/digital operations experience
• Must possess an understanding of the eCommerce product lifecycle touch points including logistics.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver projects in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication and partnering skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Enthusiastic, motivated, innovative, creative team player
• Must have thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to think broader including technology needs to achieve goals
• Understanding of retail industry, merchandizing, marketing and IT preferred.
• Strong influencing skills to upper management, across departments and to vendor community.
• Strong Project management skills
